Architecture Studio

Architecture at DesignX introduces kids and teens to spatial thinking, environment design, and the relationship between people and space. Students design, model, and build scale structures — learning how form, function, context, and creativity shape the world around us.

Architecture

Grades 5-9

In Architecture, students explore how buildings and spaces are designed to be functional, safe, and meaningful. Through observation, reasoning, and critical thinking, students examine the built environment around them—from individual structures to towns and cities—and consider how design shapes the way people live and interact.

Students develop their own architectural ideas through sketching, discussion, and model-making, leaving the studio with both a deeper appreciation for architecture and a small-scale model that expresses their vision for a building.
