Toy Design I + Toy Design II

Toy Design I + Toy Design II

June 24th - June 28th

9am - 4pm (Free Lunch Supervision)

For students entering grades 2-8

AM: In this morning session of Toy Design, budding toy designers and makers learn how to make their own unique furry, funny or fiery plush creation using soft materials like fabrics and textile products. Starting from a sketch, students will learn how to use and adapt patterns, develop practical skills in cutting, pinning, hand & machine sewing and proudly showing off their creation at a fun toy expo at the end of camp.

PM: In the PM our budding toy/game designers will apply their creativity to develop their own game or a functioning toy using harder materials like wood and plastic. They will develop skills in geometry, planning and visualizing in 3D form, learn the importance of precision in design and get comfortable using simple shop tools like hammers, drills and saws.
